Product Overview

The JMC 2HSS57 is a 2-phase hybrid stepper servo (closed-loop stepper) driver from Shenzhen Just Motion Control, built for 57 mm (NEMA 23 class) and similar encoder-equipped stepper motors. It runs on 24–50 VDC (36 V typical), outputs 4.5 A with 20 kHz PWM, and reads motor position from a 1000- or 2500-line optical encoder to close the loop.

By bringing servo control into a stepper drive, the 2HSS57 eliminates lost steps, uses up to 100% of the motor’s rated torque, and reduces motor heating, vibration and noise while allowing faster acceleration than an open-loop stepper system. It accepts 5 V or 24 V pulse/direction/enable signals up to 200 kHz, offers DIP-selectable resolutions up to 51,200 pulses/rev, and provides an alarm output plus over-current, over-voltage and position-error protection.
