Delta MH300 0.75 kW 1 HP 230 V Single-Phase VFD – VFD5A0MH21ANSAA
The Delta VFD5A0MH21ANSAA is a 0.75 kW / 1 HP MH300 high-performance compact AC motor drive for a 230 V single-phase supply. It provides adjustable motor control for suitably selected machinery. The complete ordering code identifies an IP20 standard model without a built-in EMC filter. It is important to retain the full code when selecting a replacement or preparing an order.
Electrical Ratings
Delta lists 5.0 A heavy-duty output current and 5.2 A normal-duty output current for this power size. The nominal input is 200–240 V AC, 50/60 Hz; the catalog separately lists a 170–265 V mains range and 47–63 Hz frequency range. Use the appropriate duty rating when checking motor current. The nominal 230 V class alone is insufficient to determine whether a particular motor and load are suitable.
The drive supplies a three-phase motor circuit. A precise numeric output-voltage range was not verified in the reviewed documentation. Check the applicable operating manual and motor connection before commissioning. Single-phase input should not be interpreted as approval to control an ordinary single-phase motor.
Control and Motor Compatibility
MH300 supports induction and permanent-magnet motor control. Delta offers optional feedback cards for applications requiring encoder or resolver feedback; those cards are separate accessories. The control approach must match the selected motor, feedback arrangement and load. Do not assume that an optional card is included simply because the series supports it.
Duty and Installation
The documented heavy-duty overload capability is 150% for 60 seconds or 200% for 3 seconds. Normal duty permits 120% for 60 seconds or 150% for 3 seconds, referenced to its own rated current. These temporary limits do not increase the continuous rating. The standard frequency range is 0–599 Hz; actual motor speed must remain within the motor and machine limits.
This naturally cooled Frame B version measures 72 × 142 × 162 mm. Provide a suitable enclosure and follow the applicable installation instructions. Dimensions describe the drive body; cable routing, protective equipment and servicing access require additional panel space. Final cabinet design should be checked against the actual installation conditions.
Communication and Programming
Built-in Modbus and CANopen support integration into compatible control systems. Ethernet-based networks require the appropriate optional communication hardware rather than being assumed from the drive family name. Delta documents fieldbus options including EtherNet/IP, Modbus TCP, EtherCAT, DeviceNet and PROFIBUS DP. Confirm card compatibility and available slots before purchasing accessories.
The MH300 also includes a 5k-step PLC and two accessory-card slots. These can assist machine integration where the required logic and interfaces fit the drive’s supported functions. A removable keypad is standard. Programming, parameter management and system integration remain dependent on the applicable software, drive settings and connected equipment.
Braking and Application Selection
A braking chopper is built in; an external braking resistor is additional equipment and must be selected for the actual energy and duty requirements. The unfiltered ANSAA variant must not be described as having the integrated filter supplied with AFSAA versions.
Delta identifies winding and unwinding, machine tools, textiles, woodworking and rubber/plastic machinery as MH300 application areas. This 0.75 kW model is a candidate only where motor current, torque, acceleration and braking requirements fit its rating. Series application examples do not establish suitability for every machine in those categories.
