Product Overview

The Weidmüller STRIPAX (order no. 9005000000) is a German-made automatic stripping and cutting tool for flexible and solid conductors with PVC insulation from 0.08 mm² to 10 mm² (AWG 28–8). The tool adjusts itself to the conductor cross-section, so there is no need to set it for each wire size, and the clamping jaws open automatically after each strip so the conductor is not crushed. Strands stay together without fanning out, and double-insulated cables can be stripped in two steps without any special setting.

Stripping length is set with an adjustable end stop up to 25 mm, which makes repeated stripping to the same length fast and consistent. A built-in cutter handles conductors up to 6 mm². At 190 mm long and about 175 g, with 2-component handles, the STRIPAX is suited to daily use in panel building, cabinet wiring, machine building and maintenance work.
